Hi, I’m Shelly & together with my hubby (JP) we own and manage Ausum Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning, let me tell you about why we are so passionate about what we do and how we do it.

Both JP & I are both very service orientated people with a burning desire to make a difference in people’s lives.

Our son was a sickly baby, he constantly battled with sinus allergies which often became chest infections. We were regulars at our Dr’s rooms and our local pharmacist knew our details from by heart. We had tried just about everything, short of rehoming our fur babies.

After much saving and years of professional training, we finally bought our very first industrial extraction carpet cleaning machine. With a tangible excitement in the home, we were super eager to test drive our baby and gave the whole home a deep clean, we cleaned the mattresses, carpets, couches, pram, car seat, the works!

It happened to be that our son (who was still a baby at that time) was once again having sinus symptoms but to our surprise, and relief, our son stopped complaining of his itchy nose and his sneezes & sniffles stopped, he was back to a happy, healthy baby! We were amazed and could only put it down to the newly cleaned environment. About 4 months later he started showing the familiar signs of allergy issues again, so to test the theory we quickly cleaned his mattress, and baby furniture he used often and once again, all irritants were stopped.
